"Your chilli journey begins here. From seeds and plants to gifts and tools, we’re here to inspire and support you."

Basket of Fire is one of the most eye‑catching chillies you can grow, producing a cascade of vibrant fruits that ripen through shades of purple, cream, orange, and finally fiery red. Bred specifically for cooler climates, it thrives in the UK and is perfect for patios, balconies, windowsills, and of course hanging baskets. This compact, bushy plant delivers an impressive display of colour while packing a surprising punch of heat.

Despite its ornamental beauty, Basket of Fire is far from just a pretty plant. The chillies reach around 80,000 Scoville Heat Units, offering a sharp, lively heat ideal for salsas, stir‑fries, pickling, and drying. The plants are naturally prolific, producing hundreds of small, upright pods throughout the season, even in less than perfect weather.

Growing Basket of Fire is wonderfully straightforward. Start seeds from February to April and keep them warm during germination. Once established, the plants stay compact (usually around 30–45 cm) making them perfect for small spaces. They perform brilliantly in containers, and a final pot size of 3 – 5 litres is ideal for encouraging heavy fruiting and a dense, colourful canopy.

Whether you’re looking to brighten your garden, grow chillies in a small space, or enjoy a reliable crop of medium‑hot fruits, Basket of Fire is a fantastic all‑rounder. It’s a favourite for beginners and experienced growers alike, offering beauty, productivity, and flavour in one compact plant.
